This is the first on site tree assessment I have put on here. The idea is to do in the field tree assessments using a plum bob to check the lean, and going over the thought process behind what methods and techniques will be used for falling that particular tree. This will be the first part of each on site tree assessment. The second part will be actually cutting the tree and evaluating if the initial tree assessment was correct ....or if there was something that should have been done another way. Hind site is always twenty ..twenty ..or so they say. The idea is that by showing you guys the actual thought process behind falling each tree and then showing the actual results....that this will give you an inside view into what really goes into assessing and falling trees in real life. You can watch someone fall trees on You Tube all day long....but if they are not showing you the actual details of what goes in to falling those trees ....it does very little to help you advance in your knowledge and ability to correctly assess and then employ the correct methods for falling trees in real life.
This will be the first of many on site tree assessments and assessment results.
